Japanese Economy Minister Yasutoshi Nishimura is back on Thursday, announcing that the government will lift its state of emergency in Osaka, Kyoto and Hyogo.
Tokyo and four other prefectures, including the northern island of Hokkaido, would remain under the state of emergency, added Nishimura.
He said earlier today that he was not proposing to end the Tokyo emergency while adding that the country was on the road to containing coronaviruses.
The above comments have had little or no impact on the yen. USD / JPY consolidates the rise to 107.75 while trading near 107.65 in a large rebound in the US dollar and a bearish mood in the market.
