The US dollar on Sunday rose above the critical level of 170,000 rial on money changers affiliated with the Central Bank of Iran.
The money exchangers traded the dollar at 170,230 rials, an increase of 2,300 rials, or 1.4%, compared to Saturday’s close.
Each euro at the CBI’s forex bureaus was sold for 184,200 rials, 1.2% higher than the rates quoted on Saturday, according to data on the Tehran Gold and Jewelry Union website.
