A little catching up in the first trades
- German DAX futures -1.5%
- French CAC 40 futures -1.3%
- UK FTSE Futures -1.2%
The softer tones here are mainly linked to a bit of catching up until the late fall in US stocks in the night trade. European indices closed in a mixed way, approaching flat levels and “escaped” the fall at the end of the session of the American indices which fell by around 2% yesterday.
The current risk mood is more lukewarm, with US futures near flat levels and bonds doing little to boost morning trade in Europe.
The major currencies also don’t show much imagination, with traders likely waiting for Fed Powell President’s speech later to hopefully gather more directives this week.
